Develop your skills, creativity, and your own artistic expression, with the support and guidance of artist Julia Brown.
Our relaxed and friendly adult art classes are held weekly on Tuesdays in our dedicated art studio at North Light, at Brookes Mill, near Huddersfield.

Suitable for all abilities and confidence levels—from enthusiastic beginners, to those with more experience wishing to hone their skills.

Our classes are mainly focused on painting and drawing, but more importantly allowing you a supportive and no-pressure space to play, develop your own artistic voice and gain confidence with different materials and techniques.

Limited materials and art supplies are available from the class, but students mainly bring their own depending on what they prefer working with.
We advise on any materials you may need before you start.

Choose from a morning or afternoon session, subject to availability.

2026-27 classes are £30 per 2.5 hour session, and are bookable in term-based blocks.

We also offer Taster Sessions (when places are available), so you can come and try a class out before committing to a whole term.

Maximum 12 students per class.
